About Winners Chapel International
Our Mission - The Liberation Mandate
The Winners Chapel Liberation Mandate is a divine commission given to Bishop David Oyedepo in 1981 to liberate humanity from all forms of oppression of the devil through the preaching of the Word of Faith.
Our History
Living Faith Church Worldwide, commonly known as Winners’ Chapel, was founded on December 15, 1983, in Ifako-Ijaiye, Lagos, Nigeria, by Bishop David Oyedepo. Initially established with twelve members in a modest setting, the church began as the "Liberation Faith Hour Ministry." It experienced rapid growth, prompting a relocation to Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, in 1987, where its international headquarters—Faith Tabernacle—was later built. The 50,000-seat auditorium, completed in 1999, was at the time one of the largest church auditoriums in the world.
